Savannah, Georgia
(912) 352-9042

D. Campbell Bowman, Jr. received his BA in economics from Hampden-Sydney College and immediately entered the University of Georgia, where he received his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Bowman was admitted to the bar in Columbus, Georgia, and began practicing civil litigation, primarily insurance defense. He moved to Savannah in 1987 and clerked for the late Judge Charles B. Mikell, Jr. After several years he went into private practice in the areas of civil litigation, and insurance defense.

Mr. Bowman has extensive litigation experience, working many years as in-house litigation counsel for insurance companies (focusing on trying as many cases as possible), as well as working in private practice handling civil and criminal matters. While Mr. Bowman's primary experience lies in personal injury cases, he can handle any litigation matters. As civil cases tend to end up in court less frequently, Mr. Bowman has begun turning his practice more towards criminal defense, so that he can do the litigation he enjoys and at which he excels.

Mr. Bowman has also been active in many legal organizations. He is a member of the Savannah Bar Association, and has been on various committees for the Bar, including the lawyer grievance, and law library committees. Mr. Bowman has been a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers and had contributed articles to its annual newsletter.
