FMLA – The Family Medical Leave Act requires certain employers to provide covered employees with job protected unpaid leave for qualified reasons.  The FMLA applies to employers who have 50 or more employees within a 75 mile radius, and to employees who have worked for an employer for at least 12 months and worked at least 1250 hours in those 12 months.  The FMLA request that covered employees receive applicable paperwork informing them about their leave.
